INTRODUCTION

Biotechnology is exploitation  and manipulation of living organisms or biological systems, in the development or manufacture of a product or in the technological solution to a problem.
Plant and Agricultural Biotechnology refers to the application of biotechnology techniques in crop improvement by   increasing yield, disease and pest resistance, drought resistance and enhanced flavour. An example of ancient agriculture biotechnology is that the development of sickness-resistant wheat varieties by cross-breeding completely different wheat sorts till the specified disease resistance trait was observed.
Environmental Biotechnology addresses environmental problems.  It  aims  to the best use of nature, within the style of plants, animals, bacteria, fungi to supply renewable energy, food and nutrients in an exceedingly synergistic integrated cycle of profit creating methods wherever the waste of every process becomes the feedstock for one more process"
Medical Biotechnology : is mainly concerned with the development of manufacturing biomedical equipment’s, biopharmaceutical drugs, clinical Researches  on drugs and Tissue Engineering to improve the quality of human life.
Industrial Biotechnology : application of biotechnology for sustainable processing and production of chemical products, materials and fuels.
